— The Dallas ISD has received a records request from the Texas Education Agency seeking South Oak Cliff High School attendance records from the 2004-2005, 2005-2006, and 2006-2007 school years.

The request was the result of TEA's receipt of a recent Office of Professional Responsibility report into allegations of grade changing at South Oak Cliff High School. The OPR report indicated concerns with attendance record-keeping at SOC.

"We expected and welcome the agency’s review of SOC attendance records for those years,” said Superintendent of Schools Michael Hinojosa. "Principal Regina Jones, now in her third year at the school, has made improvements to the school’s attendance reporting systems. If, however, there were problems, we want to know and we will do whatever is required to make things right.”
