Research draws questions about gas well emissions
Every time you turn around there is yet another story about the Barnett Shale. Here is one more. Researchers are starting to pay attention to the amount of pollution caused by gas wells in the Barnett Shale. According to a study by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in 2006, storage tanks alone account for 7-8 percent of the volatile organic compounds that make up the area's pollution problem.
