Filmmaker/actress Diane Gaidry comes to Dallas to promote production of music video, independent filmmaking in general

0

Diane Gaidry is one of the co-founders of the Filmmakers Alliance. She's starred in Loving Annabelle and The Dogwalker (which she also produced).

This Sat. evening (Oct. 18), Diane will be in Dallas - at Buddies, to be exact - to stir up support for a music video project she'll be working on with local singer/songwriter Mishaele Richardson, who (it says here) was lead singer for the bands "Touch" and "Innerface." In addition, Mishaele - described as an "up and coming Indie artist" - at one time hosted a music interview television show called "Dallas Nightlife". Through this venue, she interviewed music talents TLC, Marilyn Manson, Fem 2 Fem, Live, and the ever-popular "many more."

Meet and Greet for Mishaele Richardson Video Project

When: Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, 8 p.m.
Where: Buddies II, 4025 Maple Avenue, Dallas
Cost: $15
Age limit: N/A

Ms. Gaidry, who will be starring in Mishaele's music video, says: “I believe that independent artists of all kinds are very important in this crazy world. The independent voice and vision is usually a more authentic and human expression. I feel very privileged to have been invited to work on this project with such a gifted musician. Mishaele’s work is infused with and expresses her powerful spirit.”

The event kicks off at 8 p.m., and your $15 cover gets you:

• Viewing of the award winning independent film The Dogwalker, starring Diane Gaidry

• A live performance of “Here Waiting” by Mishaele Richardson

• Question and Answer with Diane and Mishaele followed by a meet and greet.

Sounds like a fun and entertaining way to support filmmaking and musicianship in one go.
