Dallas officials investigate possible Fair Park towing scam
Despite the fact that there's been a lot of reportage about folks getting their vehicles towed from bogus parking lot operations near Fair Park this past weekend, it seems that Dallas' Public Works and Transportation Dept. has only received one official complaint about the activities.
Nevertheless, operating under the assumption that where there's stinky anecdotal smoke, there may indeed be fire, the Public Works folks are encouraging anyone who feels they were wrongfully towed to contact them. (Call Ruben Padilla, City of Dallas Transportation Regulation, at 214-670-3358.)
Meanwhile, it looks like the embattled Lone Star Auto Services folks (the firm responsible for the associated towing activities) are fighting back in an effort to unsully their name, offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who did the scamming by directing hapless fairgoers to unauthorized parking spaces. (Which amounts to a whole five of those $200 fees they charged to those who had their cars towed to begin with.)

I bet this won't happen a Jerry World when it opens. Food for thought for the city if it wasn't to keep the scheduled games it already has.

I have been down to the old Fair Park for many years, they call it unfair because it has a Mandingo quality about it you would define in Canjin country, then again life is short and sweet, and I have had alot taken away from me at Fair Park, during fair time over the past 44 years including my girlfreind....yes mandingo County, they should call it with the man eating crocks, who do what ever they can to define....unfair park, it is Outragious...Alex Troup, Old fair offical.

I Guess your right , but I am not stoned, no I am thinking of the white slave traders who take your wagon and make you a slave and impound the cargo you have worked so hard for, then again.... this is a good response for me to learn from and I do apologise, while I am an African Amercian Historian, the title from a book came into my words smith, related to the kind of highwway theft pirates and slave master hold, again my lession on this and I DO realize, The internet is a very sensitive place and I am also learning too, and thank you for your response. Nice recovery, Alex! I always respect someone self-confident enough to realize an error and take steps to apologize & do better. Steven Covey would be proud.

Thank you Alex, no worries on that, I just wanted to make sure that there wasnt any ill meaning of that term. I agree on these parties, they're no better than Dick Turpin the Highwayman, who robbed people at gunpoint in the 18th century...
