DALLAS The Mooyah Burgers in Dallas' Uptown district closed two weeks ago; and the company is considering opening another branch in Dallas, but in another location, according to an employee at the Plano branch.
"They closed that because it was a bad location," he said. Really, is that true? The other two Mooyah branches, in Plano and Addison, are still open; the chain has also opened branches in Austin and Webster.

Heh. No need to thank me. I honestly missed their burgers and fries. Thank YOU for looking further into it.

I Dont know if that was a bad location, it is what can you wear to eat in that area that has that feel and appeal, Tin Star was there for severl years, and i enjoyed the kind of Tex Mex high and low it was about, while the Gingerman does not appeal in food, and S and D is another we go out and eat place, I found Cafe Exspresso ok and more oks up Mckinney, so what is in the middle of a good place to take out and order or flop down and eat at without the sports and glamour......A. Might've been a bad location for them...a good part of any restaurant's business in that area is their lunch crowd, and Mooyah never seemed to maintain one. Their burgers and fries are both fantastic, but it's just too much of a gut bomb to be a weekly thing---and, aside from that, there's not much else on the menu.
Much better, for them, I suspect, to target a drive-and-park crowd in a location with a broader geographic throw...

Has NOTHING to do w/ location. Its a great location. My coworkers go there to eat all the time...just never Mooyah. Who wants a big greasy burger at lunch when you are in mixed company? No one. We go to Which Wich and Baker Bros. next door to Mooyah all the time.
Bring Tin Star back...

I Agree with chris, Uptown is a hodge podge of poor taste and design, while it was a neat place in the 1970s and 80s, developers made it what they want, not what a community can vibe for. Alex Troup, Retail food Management.
