Newly-renovated Lake Arlington Golf Course reopens to the public this Saturday
To celebrate the grand re-opening of the Lake Arlington Golf Course (which debuts to the public on Sat., Oct. 18), local dignitaries will be present for a special ceremony and tournament on Fri., Oct. 17.
The ceremony, set to begin at 12:30 p.m., will be attended by Mayor Robert Cluck, members of the City Council and the Arlington Parks Board.
The ceremonial first drives will be executed by City Councilpersons Kathryn Wilemon (Dist. 4) and Jimmy Bennett (Dist. 7), with a pre-booked "In with the New" tournament to follow.
For the past six months while the course has been closed to play, the greens have been renovated and the turf converted. (Into something better, one presumes.) Nor are upgrades limited to the course: the clubhouse features a new kitchen and a redesigned pro shop.
For more details, visit the Arlington Golf website, or call 817-451-6101.
