Dallas Cowboys get fined for having had two players suspended
The Dallas Cowboys have to pay a fine to the NFL because they have had two players suspended. It's a new rule that says football teams have to pay a portion of the salary forfeited by players who were suspended for bad personal conduct, substance abuse, or steroids.
Adam "Pacman" Jones just got suspended for personal conduct; wide receiver Mike Jefferson was suspended in September for four games for steroids.
The Cowboys have to pay $20,588 for each game that Jones remains suspended, although Jerry Jones said that amount is too high. Jones also said there's a slim chance he'd take Jones back if commissioner Roger Goodell reinstates him.
