The 2008 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure took place at NorthPark Center Saturday morning. A beautiful clear morning greeted the 25,000-30,000 participants gathered together to fight breast cancer. The 5K (3+ miles) race, in which my wife and I participated, started on Park Lane, wound through neighborhoods south past Walnut Hill Lane, turned back north on Hillcrest Road before heading back on Park Lane.

For those who are counting, former TCU runner Kip Kangogo, who flew in from Canada especially for the event, won the race in a time of 14 minutes and 20 seconds.
