FC Dallas forward Kenny Cooper in running for Golden Boot

Despite a disappointing season and shattered playoff hopes, there is still one award out there FC Dallas can hang in the locker room. Standout forward Kenny Cooper is one goal behind Landon Donovan for scoring the most goals this season in the MLS regular season. FC Dallas will travel to Los Angeles (also out of playoffs) on Sunday, as the two forwards face off for the Budweiser Golden Boot. If Cooper is able to score at least one goal in the game to Donovan's nil, the two will share honors.
Any accolades Cooper can add to his name will only sweeten the pot, as he is getting looks once again from a number of European clubs. Though his contract is up at the end of this season, FC Dallas has a two-year option on the forward.
