TxDOT to re-stripe U.S. 75 at Live Oak on Sunday in Dallas
DALLAS The Texas Department of Transportation will begin closing various southbound lanes of US 75, from just north of Fitzhugh Avenue to Live Oak Street, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, October 26. The Live Oak exit ramp will also be closed during this time period.
This closure is necessary to allow Archer Western Contractors of Arlington to re-stripe the roadway and re-align the regulatory highway signs along the 2-mile project. The lanes will be reopened to the public as work is completed along southbound U.S. 75; however, it is anticipated the Live Oak exit will be closed for the duration of the day. Traffic delays are expected until the re-striping is complete.
Message boards announcing the lane closures have been placed along U.S. 75 to notify the public of the scheduled closures. Law enforcement will also be present to help with traffic control.
This work is being done in preparation of Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s (DART) 27.7-mile, $1.67 billion green line expansion project.

I thought the Live Oak exit had been closed for months now (the LEFT exit). Is that not the case?

This was a real neat site to go to last year after the rains,I recall finding a Civl War button, all crushed up by a wash out of a hill... some contractor had opened up, crushed the button and oyster shells and old crock bottles... while old Live Oak was a part of old german town that dated back to the 1870s, while this was a real bad slum in the 1960s'to the 1980s' so progress is doing some great moves in this area, but if your into left lanes, I uses dart rails they have sexy left lanes, until then.
