Dallas Cowboys 13, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9
With an injury beleaguered lineup, the Cowboys managed to slip past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon at Texas Stadium. Filling in the second week in a row for Tony Romo (out with pinkie injury), Brad Johnson threw for only 122 yards, but safe passing and an adept defense helped Dallas to the win.
Tampa Bay got on the scoreboard first, taking a pair of field goals in the first quarter to go up by 6. The Cowboys responded with their own field goal early in the second quarter, adding a two-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Roy Williams for the game winning play. A field goal each in the third quarter added points to each team's offensive stats, but didn't affect the game's outcome.
Tight end Jason Witten left the game in the first half with an injured rib, though an x-ray showed no break. Cornerback Anthony Henry left in the third with a bruised thigh. Dallas plays the New York Giants next, then have a bye week. Following the break, the team hopes to have Romo, Felix Jones, Terence Newman and Anthony Spencer all back from injury to face the Red Skins in Washington.

A win's a win at this point...a 2-0 win would have been fine with me, given the way the offense sputters without Romo, Witten, and I think you have to say Felix Jones at this point.
You think Jerry will finally shop for a backup < 40 next year? I wonder if Garrett can get out there and take a few snaps?...it couldn't be much worse.

James, I hope they get a clue. Jones spends a crapload of money on the team only to gamble on the season with an incompetent back up for Romo.
