Denton City Council adopts new building inspection fee schedule

The Denton City Council recently adopted a new Building Inspection Fee Schedule. These building inspection fees had not been updated for nearly ten years. The changes will go into effect on December 1, 2008.

The adopted changes are intended to better cover the costs of services performed by the employees of the Building Inspections Department. The fees cover the services provided by permit technicians, plans examiners, building inspectors, and health inspectors.

Below is the Building Inspection Fee Schedule, which can also be viewed on the City’s website (www.cityofdenton.com), go to the Building Inspection webpage and click on "Permit Applications and Fee Schedules" then click on "Building Department Fee Schedule" and then click on "Permit Fees Effective December 1, 2008."
