Complaints of smelly Dallas plant drift to City Hall
City Hall is now involved in big stink concerning West Dallas residents and a neighboring animal by product rendering plant. The city investigated the plant after nine complaints of a bad smell coming from the plant. The plant, Darling International, may be out of compliance with city ordinances and will need to correct the situation, except they don't believe the smell is coming from their plant. Yeah, right. The neighbors are complaining of a "dead corpse" smell and it's not the animal rendering plant. (Sheesh, that's worse than smelling rat poo.) The company is willing to meet with city officials to discuss the matter.
