DeSoto High School student killed in accidental shooting
Paris Gaehring, an honor student at DeSoto High School, was killed Sunday in what police believe was an accidental shooting. Gaehring was in a car with three other people on Westmoreland Road when the fatal shooting occurred.
The accused shooter, whose name is not being released because he is a juvenile, fled the scene and disposed of the gun. Police report he later took them to the weapon and admitted to the shooting. They expect to charge him with manslaughter.
