WaterTower Theatre kicks off the 2008-2009 Discover Series with the regional premiere of the musical revue Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn.

The composer and lyricist of the musicals Falsettos, A New Brain and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, William Finn has been a staple of the American theatre for 30 years. At once witty, wistful, neurotic and brave, Finn’s music has been revered by audiences and critics alike. Using a quartet of singers and a single piano, Make Me A Song is a musical celebration of one of our musical theatre greats.

“William Finn has been one of our very favorite composers for years,” states Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin. “And what’s so great about Make Me A Song is discovering the gems that have never before been put in a show. This show truly has all the hits, from a suite of music from Finn’s Falsettos, to songs he wrote for ceremonies and friends. You won’t want to miss it.”
