Local attorney, prominent Democrat Fred Baron dies
DALLAS Well-known local attorney Fred Baron died from cancer today. He had been fighting the disease for some time, and there was a recent controversy surrounding the (eventually successful) attempt to get him an experimental drug.
Baron was best known as an asbestos plaintiff's attorney, but was also a major Democratic donor. In August, as former presidential candidate John Edwards become mired in a sex scandal, Baron was identified as the Democratic contributor who had been paying living expenses for Edwards' alleged mistress.
The funeral is scheduled for Monday.

Shows the old saying is true, "You can't take it with you". He was very wealthy, the king of asbestos lawsuits. All that wealth, yet he could not get that experimental drug, at any cost, which might have extended his life. I wonder what will happen now to the BARON & BUD LAWFIRM now?
