Interview with Paul J. Williams, actor in Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn
Paul J. Williams is known around town as a wonderful performer, and recognized across the country as a successful stand-up comedian. As one of the cast member in the regional premiere of WaterTower Theatre's Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn, it was the perfect week to feature him
We start by talking about his career, how came to be a performer, and started off in comedy. He discuses how he made the transition to the stage and what drove him to do theatre. Along with being a comedian and an actor, he also holds another job, and he states how he is able to juggle all three.
Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn
- When: Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, 8 p.m.
- Where: Addison Theatre Center, 15650 Addison Road, Addison
- Cost: $20 - $25
- Age limit: 17+
He talks about his attraction to Make Me A Song and why this show is different than a typical musical. He also offers his opinion on why this show is part of WaterTower's Discover Series instead of their mainstage season.
I ask what he wants the audience to walk away talking or thinking about. I end the interview by asking what character he still dreams of playing and he discusses why he wants to get into more serious acting.
The show runs from October 30 – November 23 and you can call 972-450-6232 for tickets.
