Irving schedules pet vaccination clinic for this Saturday (Nov. 1)
Get DHLPP for your dog, or FVRCP for your cat - or is it vice-versa?
The Irving Animal Services folks are hosting a free pet vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. 'til 1 p.m. this Saturday (Nov. 1) at Running Bear Park, 2601 S. Story Road.
Dogs are eligible to receive DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis (CAV-2), Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus), bordetella and rabies vaccinations, while cats are eligible for FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) and rabies vaccinations.
NOTE that pets younger than four months of age are not eligible to receive the rabies vaccine.
Microchips also will be available for $10 per pet. The event is limited to the first 500 cats or dogs owned by Irving residents, with a limit of four pets per household. For more information, call 972-721-2256.
