Heath City Council takes on tax rate, budgetary and fee schedule issues

... and hopefully puts a headlock on those pesky administrative distractions.

In a metaphorical magical realist world, this guy could be a Heath City Councilperson attempting to strip the obfuscatory mask from the intricacies of the tax rate issue. As embodied by the other wrestler guy.

When the Heath City Council convenes on Tues. evening, Sept. 2 at City Hall, they'll kick things off with a public hearing on the matter of the tax rate for 2008.

They will then engage in discussion regarding the proposed budget for the fiscal year running from Oct. 1, 2008 - Sept. 30, 2009.

And finally, there will be an open discussion on the fee schedule for the same fiscal year as mentioned above.

Consent agenda items to be hopefully - um - consented upon include:

* a contract with Double R Utilities for a project to extend water and sewer service

* a flood protection ordinance amendment

* approval of a change in tariffs of Atmos Energy Corp.

Rounding out the evening's agenda will be a discussion regarding board and commission appointments, a jurisdictional boundary agreement with the City of Rockwall and a resolution to authorize the Mayor to settle with RCH Water Supply Corp. in a matter relating to transfer of utility service area.
