DALLAS We've got word from reliable sources that as we predicted last month, Pugs and Kelly have been hired on at 93.3 The Bone. We hear they're starting on Monday 2:00 - 6:00 PM and will be playing about 1/3 as much music as the station has typically played during drivetime.
They'll be overlapping the slot that had been filled by program director "Gary in the Afternoon," who had for a while been "Gary in the Morning" and lately had returned to covering afternoon but now goes back to morning drive, completing what must be an identity and sleep-cycle crisis of epic proportion. Alexis holds on to the mid-day slot and the Jeff Davis Experience will hold its (his?) slot.
Over the weekend, Pugs dropped a hint on the Pugs and Kelly MySpace in a post where he took aim at folks saying they were fired from Live 105.3. That included a presumptive shot at Russ Martin, as he said "Kelly and I hope we can present something more intimate and familiar than delusions of grandeur chased with news reports of domestic abuse." [Ed note: link is ours.]
The not-so-subtle hint came at the end of the post:
"GO COWBOYS! (hint)"
For those who don't know, The Bone is the FM station for local Cowboys broadcasts.

I've been listened to 105.3 since Jagger became the morning show, so had become a fan of P&K and Russ Martin (don't ask me why). But to be honest, P&K's show had majorly sucked in the past couple months. Don't know why. Just did. Sounded like they were bored out of the freakin' minds over there. So maybe it is good they moved on.
But now I am stuck with Ben & Skin, who I am giving a chance when I'm in the car at lunch, but they're pretty horrible.

Ben & Skin are 1000 times better than all of those suckers combined. Problem is, both stations are lousy and have bad ratings.

OMG!!! OMG!!! I have missed you both! I am done w/105.3. I don't even know what happened, but it looks like Russ had a 'lil somthn to do w/it...dunno, dont care. I almost cried when my friend called & told me that she heard that u would b on the BONE! (I had been Googling my butt off tryin' to find out what in the heck happened!) I look forward to hearing from my 'buds' and absolutly cannot wait! Wish u both the best of luck, Kelly J. GO 93.3!! You TRULY DO ROCK!!!! THX! ;)

I really cant think of a single reason to miss the pugs and kelly show. I listened once to their show and noticed that Pugs feels his opinions about mental illness can and should be used to replace medical facts. Pugs needs to tone down his ego and get that his time behind a micrphone does not make him an expert on the topics he discusses.

It's very PAINFUL trying to get involved with a talk show that reverts to music from now and then killing the topic that has been engaged. What a damn shame, I agree with Collin.

OMG! The only thing Pugs ever did was whine!I remember listening to them when they first started on 105.3 from Kellys' basement back in Chicago. It was great until Pugs thought he knew everything and it had to go his way. They will never get even close to Russ Martin ratings.Bring it on suckers!

That last comment is golden. They couldn't be bothered to use punctuation where needed but took the time to capitalize random words.
Good stuff.

LOL! Wow ... AM? Finally these liberal yankee chumps are where they belong. Rotting on AM Radio. I suggest they submit a resume to Wal Mart for the greeter position. That would be a nice upgrade in pay. Moving liberal radio to Texas, bust. Watching the "Fatty and Fugly Show" get flushed to AM... PRICELESS!
I give it three weeks before someone sees them hitch hiking back to Michigan or where ever the hell they are from.
