Oktoberfest coming to Fort Worth’s The Covey Restaurant & Brewery
Local brewery/restaurant The Covey makes really good beer. Gold-medal-winning beer.
Now that the beers have gained some international fame, Covey brewmaster Jaime Fulton wants to bring a version of Oktoberfest, that world-famous festival of Beer and Volks, to the Fort. I often find myself disappointed by Americanized Oktoberfests, but I’ve heard good things about the food at the Covey, so I think I’ll give it a try. What’s the wurst that could happen?
The Covey’s Oktoberfest will be held at the restaurant on Friday, September 12 from 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Saturday, September 13 from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
An $18 traditional Bavarian buffet will be featured, and 10% of the proceeds for the weekend will be donated to First Command Educational Foundation, an educational and financial literacy nonprofit.
