Felix Jones, a first-round draft pick, scored a touchdown on the first regular season carry of his NFL career.
The nation got its chance to see the real Dallas Cowboys (finally) after a preseason featuring mostly backups. Dallas got the scoreboard first, with a one-yard run from Marion Barber. After the Browns evened the score with a Kellen Winslow touchdown, the Cowboys regained the lead with a 35-yard touchdown caught by Terrell Owens and stayed on top the rest of the game. Rookie Felix Jones would get Dallas' only touchdown of the second half, finishing an 86-yard drive with his own 11-yard run on his first NFL regular season carry.
With the exception of a busted chin, Tony Romo was practically unchallenged with tons of time to pass on the majority of plays. He went 24-for-32 with 327 passing yards. Jason Witten had six catches for 96 yards while Marion Barber rushed for 80 yards on 16 carries. Barber left in the third quarter with bruised ribs. Adam "Pacman" Jones got his first start in 17 months after being reinstated by the league.
Dallas' offense went for nearly 500 yards on the night, while the defense held the Browns to 205 yards.
Browns quarterback Derek Anderson went 11-for-24 for 114 yards. Wide receiver Braylon Edwards caught two, but dropped twice as many, including one that would certainly have been a touchdown.
