Salad buffet chain Sweet Tomatoes opens third Dallas-area branch in Irving
IRVING A Sweet Tomatoes has opened in Irving. Located in the Hunter Plaza Shopping Center at 1820 Market Place, this is the third Dallas-area location and the 111th branch overall of this San-Diego-based salad buffet chain.
Sweet Tomatoes, named one of America’s “Best Family Restaurants” by Parents Magazine and voted by consumers as the #1 buffet chain five years in a row by Restaurants & Institutions, offers a rotating menu of more than 100 original, made-fresh-daily recipes featuring salads, soups, bakery goods, and hot pasta sauces at an all-you-care-to-eat price. All food is prepared without the use of artificial flavors, colors, additives, or artificial trans fats. A different food theme is featured each month and the most popular menu items are rotated every two weeks. Items are showcased on a 45-foot salad bar and prepared exhibition style every 20 minutes.
Sweet Tomatoes opened its first north Texas location in October 2007 in Prestonwood Town Center West near Addison, and its second location in March 2008 at 4001 Matlock Road in Arlington.
Several food bars are designed for easy two-way access to food and beverages and to enhance the guest flow. The ambiance of the dining room elevates the overall guest experience and reinforces the price and value equation for cost-conscious diners in search of high-quality foods at affordable prices.
All three Sweet Tomatoes locations in the Dallas market offer catering packages starting at $9 per person that include two tossed salads, two chilled prepared salads, baked potatoes with all the fixings, freshly baked muffins and cookies, cool beverages, plates and utensils. Hot soups or hot pastas can be added for just $.50 per person per item. Staffing is available, and delivery is free within 10 miles of the restaurants. Orders should be placed 48 hours in advance by calling the restaurants or online.
