Burleson High School Homecoming Parade route changes
So as not to interfere with the parking for those patronizing restaurants in Old Town, the Thursday, Sept. 18, parade will turn back toward Kerr Middle School at Warren Street instead of Main Street.
The Burleson High School homecoming parade will take a shortcut this year.
So as not to interfere with the parking for those patronizing restaurants in Old Town, the Thursday, Sept. 18, parade will turn back toward Kerr Middle School at Warren Street instead of Main Street. Warren Street is located next to Burleson City Hall and Community Bank.
The rest of the route remains the same. The parade will leave the Kerr parking lot on the Irene Street side, go right on Gregory Street, right on Johnson Avenue, right on Ellison Street, right on Warren Street, right on Gregory, and right on Irene to the Kerr parking lot.
Staging for the parade takes place in the parking lot at Kerr Middle School. City crews will close Irene Street between Dian Street and Gregory at 4 p.m. on Sept. 18 so organizers can stage the floats. The parade will start promptly at 6 p.m., with Burleson police officers in the lead.
