Craigslist poster robs unsuspecting buyers at gunpoint in Garland and Richardson
We all knew it was bound to happen eventually, that someone would take advantage of Craigslist users and ruin it for everybody. Apparently some sellers on Craigslist are posting big ticket items and requesting the buyers bring cash (which isn't unusual for someone selling something on Craigslist). They have the buyer come to a vacant house where, upon entering, they are held up at gunpoint and their cash is stolen. The incident has happened twice in Garland and once in Richardson so far. Police are suggesting that if you must meet up with someone at a residence, bring a friend and leave them in the car and on the phone with you just in case.
