Steakhouse from owner of Go Fish, Dallas Fish Market, going into Comerica Bank Tower in downtown Dallas

— Dallas Chop House is the name of a new steakhouse going into a new annex at the Comerica Bank Tower at 1717 Main Street in downtown Dallas in the summer of 2009.

Owner Mike Hoque, who also got a nice nod in the DMN, has spared no cost in developing Dallas Fish Market and the new Go Fish, which just moved to a new location near Dallas Galleria, and plans to do the same here, sinking $2 million-plus into the interior alone, with a fireplace, open kitchen, aging room, library of books about steak, Kosher station, and catering service for the building's tenants.

Scott, says:

Why didn't I think of that? An upscale steak house would fill a vital, unexploited niche in the Dallas market.

scott, while i enjoy your sarcasm, on the other hand, if a steakhouse helps this guy keep opening high-end fish places -- with the only alternative in town being Oceanaire -- then i say hell yeah to the steakhouse. i also appreciate that he continues to invest in downtown's central business district.

I know Mike Hogue, he is a good businessman and honest in all his dealings. Great for Comerica Bank and it's tenants! Nice to get a steakhouse up into the CBD away from the West End. I like it!
