TCU bans booze at school sponsored tailgate parties
I thought frogs died when they dried out.
Texas Christian University has banned alcohol at all school sponsored events, including tailgate parties. Apparently it's hard to prevent underage drinking at these things, inspiring a few citations by TABC. No worries, I'm sure everyone will just drink off campus and then drive to the games.

So So Stupid...Why is it all the Jesus schools down here have a heart attack when booze or dancing is mentioned, yet up north at a notre dame, noone seems to have a real problem.

They are trying to keep kids from killing themselves. The only way they can. Sure kids will go out and get beer but thats beyond the schools control.

Who is anyone kidding? Kids in college will drink if they want to. I think the "heart attack" is triggered by the boot that the TABC inserts firmly and without lubrication when under-age kids are caught drinking openly at school-sponsored events.

I guess, or you could look at the obvious. It's illegal.

C'mon. I doubt it has anything to do with "Jesus" or "trying to keep kids from killing themselves". I'm guessing it has to do with limiting TCU's liability.
