American Airlines flight attendants want porn out of the skies
American Airlines flight attendants are asking management to put filters on the carrier's new wi-fi service, as they are concerned that passengers using the internet to view porn will cause "safety concerns." Specifically, they're worried that someone viewing porn will get other passengers angry, leading to possibly violent confrontations.
Amazing that no one foresaw porn as being a potential in-flight problem. Oh, that's right -- I did.

Can't believe it's the wi-fi that's bringing this up. People already have DVD players in their laptops and I've seen folks watching some sketchy stuff.
People have no shame these days (he said, curmudgeonly before his time). Myself, I get squirmy when I'm watching an otherwise OK R-rated flick on my laptop on the plane and there's a steamy or violent scene.

True. I was watching an episode of The Daily Show on the plane the other day. I'm not sure what the guy next to me thought when this segment was playing.
