September Glenn Heights seniors meeting will be all about line dancing
On Wed., Sept. 17 at 9 a.m., Glenn Heights senior citizens will once again be welcomed at the DeSoto Elks Lodge (1316 S. Hampton Rd.) for a chance to check out the latest line dancing steps.
Barbara Albright, who won a World Championship in Classic Gold Intermediate Line Dance and currently serves as director of the United Council of Country Western Dancers, will be on hand to lead and instruct the group.
Ms. Albright is also co-director of the Texas Line Dance Jamboree, an event held each October featuring about 400 seniors from all over the state of Texas. So maybe she'll spot some raw talent amongst the elder folk from Glenn Heights and get them involved in the Jam!
The Sept. 17 event is free and open to the public, and snacks will be provided.
Yee haw, y'all!
