Dallas County included in Hurricane Ike emergency declaration

I was told there would be squalls. There better damn well be squalls.

Oh no, I'm sorry, I said squalls.

Oh no, I'm sorry, I said squalls.

Handed down from President Bush, the declaration allows the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide assistance for emergency measures.

While DFW is not expected to get the brunt of Ike as it moves North, a tropical storm wind warning and flash flood watch has been issued for Dallas, Collin, Denton, and Tarrant counties. Light showers are expected in the morning, with thunder showers in the afternoon, and squalls (yes, squalls) predicted between 3 and 5 p.m.
