DALLAS Every Saturday and Sunday from September 27 to October 19, DART will offer a State Fair Shuttle from Pearl Station in downtown Dallas to the Texas State Fair. Use it and you get a coupon for $2 off fair admission.
Step One: Park free at any DART Rail station park & ride lot and buy a $5.00 Premium Day Pass from a Ticket Vending Machine.
Step Two: Ride DART Rail to Pearl Station. (No parking available at Pearl Station.)
Step Three: Board the State Fair Shuttle departing every 10 minutes between 9 a.m. and midnight. The drop-off and pickup location at the fairgrounds is the parking lot near the Superpages.com Center (formerly the Smirnoff Music Center).
Step Four: Get a coupon good for $2 off admission.
New pass rules for 2008
Riders with an Annual Premium or Monthly Premium Pass and riders with a Reduced Monthly or Reduced Day Pass do not have to pay an additional $2 for round-trip service from Pearl Station to the State Fair. Children under age 5 may ride free when accompanied by an adult with valid fare (up to four children).
Big Tex Express
Also on Saturdays and Sundays, motorists can ride the free "Big Tex Express" train from auxiliary parking at the fairgrounds to a gate near the Cotton Bowl. The State Fair of Texas offers acres of lighted and secured parking off Haskell west of Dolphin Road -- easily accessible from I-30. Parking is $10. The service operates continuously from 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Special service for Texas – OU
The buses roll at 7 a.m., Saturday, October 11, for the annual Texas – OU football game. Southbound DART Rail trains will operate every 10 minutes on the Red Line and every 15 minutes on the Blue Line between 8:30 a.m. and the scheduled kickoff at 11 a.m.

DART Rail Green Line construction continues around Fair Park
The Fair Park area will be home to two DART Rail stations with the arrival of the Green Line in September 2009. Again this year DART will suspend construction at those stations during the State Fair, but some street closures and detours are still in effect. Please allow for additional travel time. Visit the Web site for the latest Green Line information. Be sure to stop by our information booth in the Tower Building for the latest DART news.
