The City of Irving recently mailed out a survey to random residences querying their occupants about the state of city services. The results have been tabulated, and they seem to indicate that folks living in Big I are generally pretty satisfied with the services with which they're being provided.

Based on 1,821 responses to the survey (which you can find, in .pdf form, here), folks really, really liked the fire, ambulance and solid waste services, followed closely by the library, arts center, and parks & recreation facilities.

The landfill, police and drinking water categories (no implication intended by grouping them thusly - they just happen to fall into sequence this way) were the least favored of the primary service areas, netting out with 69, 68 and 57 percent of respondents, respectively, rating them as either good or excellent.

Complete results of the survey are available here.

Identified as areas for future concern were economic development, code enforcement, neighborhood improvements, police/fire services and streets.
