Cru in Allen celebrates opening with free wine event September 30 free free free
ALLEN To celebrate the opening of Cru: A Wine Bar in Allen, Texas, this oasis for wine lovers is hosting a grand opening celebration devoted to the pleasures of the grape. On Tuesday Sept. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m., the restaurant in Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm is opening its doors to the community for complementary tastings of wines from around the world and appetizers from its fall menu.
Both connoisseurs and the casual wine drinker will find plenty to engage them at this savvy but unpretentious restaurant. The carefully chosen, moderately priced wine collection complements the restaurant's wine country cuisine, with sharing plates, cheese flights, and entrees. In addition to its 300 wine selections and 80-some premium wines by the glass, CrĂș is known for its wine flights, which change daily and are presented with tasting notes.
Cru at Watters Creek is the restaurant's third Dallas-area location. Other locations include the original Cru in Dallas' West Village, as well as another Cru in Plano's The Shops at Legacy.

Collin Gouldin, says:
moderately priced wine?... not so much.<br> It is a cool place to hang out and drink a little, the atmosphere (at least the one in plano) is really nice, but the wine (especially the flights) are over priced.
