Coppell homeowners’ associations tries to ban Obama sign
COPPELL A Coppell homeowners' association recently tried to ban one of its residents, David Graupner, from displaying yard signs supporting Barack Obama, saying they violated HOA rules. Unbeknownst to Graupner and, apparently, the HOA, there is a three-year-old state law that prohibits such rules so long as the signs aren't bigger than 4x6 feet.
In the end, Graupner got to keep his signs, while the HOA is probably trying to figure what petty thing to target next. Maybe he has a pickup.
