“We recognize the importance of having a strong local Internet presence and are looking for ways to grow our stations’ Web sites,” explained Kathy Clements, Belo senior vice president/Television Operations. “Noofangle’s ability to meet the high standards Belo television stations place on content for its consumers and advertisers was the primary consideration in forming this partnership. Expanding Belo’s online presence in the areas of lifestyle content will accelerate the Company’s ability to build a competitive advantage and attract a broader Web site audience.”

“Having an industry leader like Belo as a partner clearly demonstrates that a commitment to high-quality, engaging content is a winning online strategy,” Noofangle Media Co-Founder Marc Montoya commented. “Belo has consistently been viewed as an industry innovator and we are proud to be chosen as its content partner. Together with strategic partners like Belo, we can redefine the next generation of online content syndication for local broadcasters.”

The agreement provides Belo Web site access to market-exclusive content from Noofangle’s many sites including: Green Right Now; Get Listy; Shopperati; and TV Puzzles.

This post says Belo, so I am assuming only for the TV and cable websites and not the newspapers? Or is this the real reason part of DMN video team took buyouts?
