Owners of Cherry Pit in Duncanville arrested
Both owners have been arrested on charges associated with operating an unregistered club and other prohibited activities.
DUNCANVILLE The owners of Duncanville’s most notorious residence have now both been arrested. Duncanville Police arrested Julie Norris Wednesday on charges associated with operating an unregistered club and other prohibited activities, a violation of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code 32.14, a Class “A” misdemeanor, which carries a one-year jail sentence and a fine up to $4,000.
Norris was arrested at her place of business and is currently being held at the Duncanville Police Department jail. Jim Trulock, owner of The Cherry Pit, was arrested on the same charges Sept.5.
The Duncanville Police Department executed two search warrants in July at The Cherry Pit confiscating business records, alcoholic beverages and other evidence. Based on those evidentiary findings, arrest warrants were issued.

Yuck! That place seems nasty, as I read it in the new Dallas Observer today. I know about the constitutional rights and all regarding this "Cherry Pit" place, they do have some right, but still, after looking at the pictures from inside that place, I still say "Yuck!". They need to move on elsewhere. Set-up in a business park, not in a family neighborhood, it's just not right. Again, "Yuck!".

Heres the thing: one of my good friends live down the street from these people. He indicates the crowd that has come in and out of this place has been usually older or more white trash, as he defines it, people you wouldnt see at one of the higher class places. The house is also in original condition as it was built in the late 70's and hasnt had much work done since...

The higher class places? Are there really high class swingers clubs?

I remember watching a documentary on swinger culture. It was really interesting, but the thing I remember most is when they took a camera into one of the clubs.
Holy god, it looked like an inverse rapture in a Wal-Mart check-out aisle, where people's clothes vanish, leaving only them behind. I've ever seen so many unattractive, naked people in one place.
I'm not making a judgement call on this specific case, or swinger culture in general, but you couldn't lure me into one of these places with a bacon-wrapped check for a billion dollars.

Sure. They're about as commonplace as albino pandas.

Yes, there are a few in Dallas, but, and this is a big but, no hanky panky takes place at these places. These are establishments where people who follow the lifestyle can meet, chat, hangout, party have a few laughs and then adjourn either to a nearby hotel or residence for whatever they want to privately indulge. Historically, the swing culture featured heterosexual couples swapping among themselves, sometimes introducing unescorted females into the mix. Single males were just plain out of luck. But a new sub-culture in the swing community is bubbling up of couples shunning the unescorted female and introducing the bisexual male into the mix. Their numbers are very few compared to the trad swing culture, but it is significant that this contingent is bravely rearing its head in the community.
