McKinney’s TPC Craig Ranch to host Wish Upon a Par charity golf tournament
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas announced it will host the 2008 Wish Upon A Par golf tournament on October 6, at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, to raise funds to grant the wishes of children in North Texas fighting life-threatening medical conditions. The Aussie-themed event will feature Australian native and PGA TOUR Player Nathan Green and his PGA TOUR friends.
“It is our mission to enrich the lives of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions, and to give others the chance to impact a child’s life,” said Barry Smink, president and chief executive officer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas. “Every wish granted is the result of a collaborative effort between the child’s family, physicians, donors and volunteers. We look forward to the tournament helping us to reach our goal of 500 wishes by the end of this year.”
Wish Upon A Par will be held on Monday, October 6, beginning with registration at 11:30 a.m., at TPC Craig Ranch. Participants will have the opportunity to visit with Nathan Green and other PGA TOUR Players while enjoying a day of golf. Lunch will be provided and participants will have dinner at the Boomerang Bash, including a live auction, following the tournament.
