Dallas Summer Musicals offering Southern-themed buffet for Color Purple run
DALLAS In celebration of the Dallas Summer Musicals' upcoming show, Oprah Winfrey presents The Color Purple opening September 30th and running through October 19th, Dining at the Music Hall has created a special new menu.
The buffet includes tasty beginnings like Ambrosia, Black-Eyed Pea Salad, and the Southern Antipasto tray with Pickled Okra, Grilled Vegetables, Deviled Eggs, Country Ham and Bacon-Pimento Cheese, Pickapeppa Sauce and Cream Cheese.
A carving station offers Beef Brisket, Honey-Mustard Glazed Roast Ham, Smothered Pork Chops, Cornbread Dressing, Cream Gravy or Baked Catfish, Pecan Brown Butter and more.
Veggie sides include Country Style Green Beans, Brown Sugar-Orange Glazed Carrots, Cheese Grits, Sweet Potato Flecked Red Skin Whipped Potatoes, Buttermilk Biscuits, Yeast Rolls & Corn Bread.
Top it off with Red Velvet Cupcakes, ‘Nana Pudding, Coconut Cake, Mud Pie, Praline Cheesecake and so many more.
Dining at the Music Hall serves a sumptuous buffet before each performance. Reservations are recommended but not required; call 214-413-3940. Dining at the Music Hall is independently managed; the buffet is not included in the ticket price.
Dining at the Music Hall is a gourmet buffet priced at $21.95. The Bistro Café is a lighter fare and is less expensive, with sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, and more. The Bistro Cafe is open at 11:45 a.m. for matinee performances and 5:45 p.m. for evening performances.
