Famed Dallas judge Barefoot Sanders died on Saturday
Uniquely named judge was best known for imposing desegregation order on Dallas Independent School District.
DALLAS U.S. District Judge Barefoot Sanders, best known for helping to desegregate Dallas schools, died Sunday of natural causes at his home; he was 83.
He took over the school desegregation case in 1981, and was often the target of hostile phone calls and letters.
