Opponents of Dallas convention center hotel mount signature-gathering campaign
The goal is to get a referendum on the ballot in May.
DALLAS A group called Citizens Against the Taxpayer-Owned Hotel is mounting a campaign to get 20,000 signatures saying that they're opposed to the new city-owned convention center hotel being spearheaded by Mayor Tom Leppert. Their goal is to get a referendum on the ballot in May so that the construction of the hotel can be voted on by the public.
