Black Tie Dynasty will self-release new CD in November
According to the band's blog post, Fort Worth-based Black Tie Dynasty will self-release their upcoming album, Down Like Anyone, this November. The single, "Lay Low," is streaming here, featuring Cory Watson's emotive vocal style, as the band employs fairly trimmed down instrumentation to push the 80s-ish New Wave envelope. The opening riff has a very David Bowie à la "China Girl" feel.
BTD will play a local CD release show at the House of Blues on November 29, in addition to a west coast/midwest tour in support of Down Like Anyone. For visual preview of the album, check out the video for "Much Scarier" below, also from the upcoming album.
