Rabbi Harold Kushner to speak at TCU
The Rabbi Harold Kushner will speak at 7 p.m. Tues. night, Sept. 23, as the guest of honor for the 11th annual Gates of Chai Lectureship in Contemporary Judaism, sponsored by the Program in Jewish Studies at Texas Christian University and Brite Divinity School. His topic will be “A Jewish-Christian Perspective on Atheism.”
Rabbi Kushner rocketed to authorship stardom following the 1981 publication of his book, When Bad Things Happen to Good People.
Referred to as "a healing voice for troubled times," Kushner's presentations - it says in this TCU news release - "combine compassion with straightforward wisdom."
In times like these, we could certainly use more of both.
Students may attend the event for free; general admission tickets cost $20 and include reserved parking. Call 817-257-5967 to purchase tickets.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I know Gitmo takes its toll, but I thought he had aged particularly poorly since the time this photo was taken earlier this year:
