Dallas Morning News freebie tabloid daily Quick to become non-alternative weekly

6

— The Dallas Morning News made its official announcement about cutting back the frequency of Quick, its freebie tabloid daily that unfairly targets young adults.

Here is the most valuable feature of Quick.

Here is the most valuable feature of Quick.

Starting October 30, it'll become a weekly publication that dispenses with the boring news stuff and focuses on "entertainment events, music, movies, eating and drinking, fashion, shopping, dating, sex, and relationships." Whoa, they said "sex", which is very popular with young adults.

It'll come out on Thursdays and distribution will increase from 95,000 copies to 100,000. They'll expand from rack locations to deliver it door-to-door to young adults in apartment complexes. Hey, maybe it's time to consider buying that first house? They're also going to distribute it through "new multimedia platforms, including mobile applications".

The more important issue is, what will happen to the daily Sudoku?

Re-phrase. I do believe they should change the name and I also believe that they need suggestions as to what to change it to.

I thought that is what they call the Dallas Observer. They are already enough free papers in this town why add to the clutter.

Hasn't Belo no shame? How many more trees must die before it realizes the folly of its ambitions?

(I never saw any recycled paper claims on that dead tree daily, have you?)
