Ironically misinformed malcontent vandalizes Dallas soldier’s car

8

When a letter to your senator just won't do.

When a letter to your senator just won't do.

Viktow Whitlow, a student at Dallas Baptist University, parked his yellow Jeep on school property and came back a few hours later to find it trashed. A vandal slashed his tires and seats and spray painted, "soldiers are murderers," on the hood. Whitlow, who served two tours of duty in Iraq, pointed out to WFAA that he actually worked in a medical treatment facility where he saved lives. He is currently studying to become a doctor.

The damage to his car is estimated at $7,000.

Man, if someone finds out that was a student who did that crime, that student should expelled! Regardless of any issues that person has with the war and its reasoning, there was NO need to mess with someone else's property.

Man! THAT is a hard contest to call, TR.

My suggestion is about the same for this guy. Let the trained military personnel at him.

It makes me sad to go back to the days during the Vietnam War when we were uncomfortable parking our cars off base because of the base sticker.

Trained active duty military personnel are probably less likely to tear the moron a new one. Let a few Vietnam era vets have him. They wouldn't face military discipline, and would be more angry than disheartened.

Rick Yost says:

They certainly didn't choose to go to war, they didn't choose where they'd be sent, or for how long or how many tours. But they had the balls to go. They had what it takes within them to put themselves in harms way in the name of you and I and this Democracy (such as it is). They fought for what they believe in- America (such as it is).
Then they come home to stupidity from their own countrymen. It is sad.

Seems to me that many of these soldiers who served in the ME believe that this is exactly what they have done, Scott.

In any event, it isn't the soldier who declares war so they are not the ones to take it out on.
