Man convicted in 1986 murder of Garland woman
Gerald Pabst, 57, was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison for the 1986 rape/murder of Galua Crosby of Garland. DNA obtained from Ms. Crosby's rape kit and debris found in her clinched hand put Pabst at the scene and guilty of rape, but the defense contends that evidence did not specifically show that he killed her. Testimony Pabst made against his brother-in-law in the 1986 trial ultimately settled it for jurors.
