Dallas-based Heritage Galleries auctioning off Playboy art hubba hubba
Dallas-based Heritage Auction Galleries will auction off 17 items from Playboy: The Art of Beauty on October 15.
Playboy chairman and CEO Christie Hefner pulled some images from the magazine's archives. Get a load of this silly quote: "We're focusing just on the art of beauty," Hefner said. Oh OK, the art of beauty, gotcha. Not like, say, breasts or naked ladies. No, this is art. Also good: Hefner said the company doesn't do auctions too often because they'd "stop being special."
Two pieces by Alberto Vargas and a piece entitled "Yugoslav Nudist Camps" from LeRoy Neiman are expected to draw the highest bids.
