DJ Russ Martin’s charges downgraded to misdemeanor assault
DJ Russ Martin, who was arrested in July in Southlake for aggravated assault with bodily injuries with a deadly weapon, is now going to be tried for misdemeanor assault instead of felony assault. Martin still faces up to one year in jail and $4,000 in fines.

I imagine he has a decent shot at an acquittal if they already knocked it down...insinuates the deadly weapon bit was quite exaggerated, meaning the fiancé's testimony is already questionable.
