Jeb Bush and Bill Bradley headline TCU lecture event in October
If you have an interest in hearing from a former Republican Governor (who is, incidentally, the brother of the sitting U.S. President) and a former Democratic Senator from New Jersey (who is also a Rhodes Scholar and used to be a damn fine basketball player), then make plans now to attend this year's Fogelson Honors Forum lecture at Texas Christian University on Oct. 14.
The free, open-to-the-public event requires that you make seat reservations in advance (because - as we all know - seating at these sorts of things is limited). Go here or call 817-257-4862 to secure your tickets.
The title of this tag team lecture is "Red State + Blue State = Purple Politics," so we can assume that Jeb and Bill will hold forth on the concept of working together across party aisles to make our country a better place to live. Or some such Utopian balderdash.
The event will take place at 8 p.m. in Ed Landreth Auditorium on the TCU campus.

Sad that we have to assume that. They don't offer a very in depth explanation of Purple Politics. I wonder, is it too much to expect that they might be proposing a third party, devoid of extremism?
