Afghan women to visit Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School in Dallas on Thursday
DALLAS Six women leaders in Afghanistan will visit students at the Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School at 9 a.m., Thursday, April 2. The women hold positions in Afghanistan’s Parliament and in other public official positions.
The Afghan female leaders will host a panel discussion as part of the “Women As Business and Economic Leaders,” a project for Afghanistan sponsored by the International Visitor Leadership Program.
Through the program, the Afghan visitors plan to learn more about the role of the American women in society to advocate for women’s rights and empowerment in Afghanistan.
A tour of the school will follow the panel discussion. Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School is located at 1718 R. B. Cullum Blvd.
