Dallas Mavericks 98, Miami Heat 96
The Dallas Mavericks came back from an 11-point deficit to top the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday night. A pair of late three-pointers from Dirk Nowitzki helped give the Mavs their first lead since the second quarter, and after Miami's 20-year-old forward Michael Beasley missed a set of free throws, and Josh Howard expertly placed himself to take a hit from Dwyane Wade, the Mavs were able to pull out a tough fought, though not altogether pretty, win.
Nowitzki scored 30 points with six rebounds, while Jason Kidd pulled 11 assists. Josh Howard scored 20, while Brandon Bass had a great night off the bench with 10 points and eight rebounds. Wade scored 23 points with six assists.
